A hometown athlete appearance connecting Ronald Acuña Jr., his latest Nike Player Edition cleat, and the Atlanta community through product storytelling, audience conversation, and direct fan access.

On Monday, August 3, we brought Ronald Acuña Jr. to DICK’S House of Sport at Kennesaw Town Center for an in-store celebration of his newest Nike PE launch.

The public experience combined a moderated product conversation, audience Q&A, and photo moments with Acuña. Fans heard directly from him about the inspiration behind the cleat, the equipment details that matter most, and how performance and personal style shape the products he brings to the field.

Project Story

Acuña’s Atlanta Backyard

Ronald Acuña Jr.’s relationship with Atlanta extends well beyond the field, as his electric energy and distinct style have made him one of the city’s defining sports figures. To launch his latest Nike PE cleat, we designed an experiential activation in Kennesaw that connected his unique identity directly to the surrounding community. Rather than treating the product as a simple backdrop, the event was built entirely around the narrative of its creation. Acuña took the stage to share the inspiration, design choices, and performance details behind the release, giving fans an inside look at how an athlete's personal identity shapes high-performance product development.

By blending product education with direct athlete access, DICK’S and Nike transformed a standard commercial launch into a meaningful community experience. Following an interactive fan Q&A, the activation moved into dedicated photo sessions, providing consumers with a lasting, personal memory alongside the Braves superstar. The event successfully bridged the gap between product innovation and raw fandom, ensuring that when consumers walked away with his name on their cleats, they also carried the story and connection behind it.
