A hometown athlete experience connecting Ohio State football, emerging high school talent, and Buckeye fans through conversation, access, and community.

On Saturday, August 1, we brought Ohio State running back Lamar “Bo” Jackson to DICK’S House of Sport at Polaris for an afternoon built around the Nike “Chase the Smoke” campaign.

The experience moved through two distinct formats. A private reception gave selected high school football teams access to an intimate Q&A hosted by Christine Williamson, followed by dedicated photo moments with Jackson. The doors then opened for a public meet-and-greet, giving wristbanded fans an opportunity to interact directly with one of Ohio State’s rising stars.

Project Story

Ohio’s Next Generation Met One of Its Own

Bo Jackson’s journey from a Cleveland youth to the star of Ohio’s flagship football program serves as a powerful blueprint for the region's young athletes. To honor this deep local connection, we designed an experiential activation at DICK’S House of Sport that moved far beyond a standard autograph signing. We built an immersive "Chase the Smoke" environment that combined a high-energy public fan session with an intimate, private conversation for invited high school teams. By blending storytelling, music, and exclusive product access, the event gave the Columbus community a meaningful, multi-dimensional way to engage with one of the state's rising football stars.

The impact of the day went beyond traditional brand engagement, bridging the gap between an elite athlete and the community that raised him. For the long-time fans in attendance, it was a celebration of local talent; for the young athletes in the room, it was a transformative moment. By providing direct, personal access to Jackson, the event turned an aspirational football journey into an achievable reality. Through this strategic collaboration, DICK’S House of Sport proved to the next generation of creators and competitors that the path to greatness is closer than it seems.

It has been nothing short of greatness working with Agency 3-2.

From quick turnarounds with short timelines, kid's moments, and content shoots, they have never under-delivered and always exceeded expectations. It has been a pleasure working with the team, and I am excited about the future to come.
